WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY WRAPS UP TRIP TO GEORGIA

OAKWOOD, Ga. - Cavalier women's cross country competed in the NCAA Southeast Regional in Georgia on Saturday.

Freshman Lydia Slemp led the way for the Highland Cavaliers. Slemp finished the 6K with a time of 24:53.1 and came away with an 87th place finish.

Freshman Alexsis Porter came across the line second for the Cavs with a time of 25:40.2 to put her in 111th place.

Freshman Jayden Sisk closed out the day for UVA Wise with a time of 27:16.9 that placed her in 132nd.

Catawba junior Mikayla Jones finished her run in 21:11.7  to earn individual first place honors, while Wingate secured the team title.
