ROANOKE - - It was a record-breaking day for the UVA Wise Women's Cross Country team as each woman set a new personal record in aiding the Cavaliers to an eighth-place finish at the Roanoke College Invitational.

Senior Haley Sykes' 24:58.8 paced UVA Wise runners as she came in 39th place. Isabella Mullins' 25:00.6 allowed her to place 41st, Kaley Sykes' time of 25:42.0 put her in 54th place, Lexie Rhoton's time of 27:11.4 put her in 79th and Grace Cress' 27:40.9 allowed her to come in 86th.

Next up, the team will compete in the South Atlantic Conference Championship. The meet is set for Nov. 5 in Salisbury, N.C.
