WISE - - Current David Crockett High School golfer Braden Clever has signed to play collegiately at UVA Wise. An Honorable Mention All-Conference Big Schools District 1 golfer, Clever is the second signee by Head Coach Evan Sturgill for 2022.

The son of Jeffrey and Kristie Clever, the newest Cavalier was a four-year letter winner for coach Drew Pettit where he was the team's top golfer as a senior.

Last summer, Clever took home top honors in a SNEDS Tour event held at Link Hills Golf Course where he competed against other top prep golfers in the area.

Upon reaching campus, the golfer intends to pursue a degree in business administration.
