PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC – The UVA Wise men's golf team opened the Spring portion of the 2025-26 season at the Pawley's Island Beach Bash, totaling 646 over two rounds, with Piyachote Naphapayarksiri and Cruz Bongiovanni each recording a final score of 157 (+13).

The Cavaliers finished 14th out of 17 teams at the Pawley's Island Beach Bash, with a two-round total of 646. The team shot a 322 in the first round, followed by a 324 in the second, competing at the par-72 Founders Club at Pawleys Island.
Piyachote Naphapayarksiri and Cruz Bongiovanni led the Cavs, both finishing with a total score of 157 (+13). Naphapayarksiri shot a 78 in the first round and a 79 in the second, while Bongiovanni reversed those scores with a 79 followed by a 78. Reilly Yoder completed the event with a 159 (+15), scoring 78 in his opening round and 81 in the final round. Freshmen Jacob Leonard and Evan Loftis, along with junior Ryley Forster, rounded out the team but struggled to break into the top half of the individual standings.
