BRISTOL, Tenn. - - Host King University took home the King Invitational team title Tuesday as the Tornado's team total of 565 was seven strokes better than Tusculum University. UVA Wise placed 11th in the event with a team score of 619 finishing four strokes ahead of future South Atlantic Conference rival Emory & Henry College.
Senior Alex Arnold paced the Cavaliers. Arnold shot a 71 on day of the event en route to a two-day score of 150 to tie for 27th place. Evan Blanton, Peyton Wilson and Jacob Sowers all tied for 43rd with scores of 157 while Tanner Devlin placed 49th with a tournament score of 159.
The team will be back in action on Oct. 11 when the program hosts the UVA Wise Invitational in Kingsport, Tenn.
