RICHMOND, Ky. - - For the second consecutive tournament, the men's golf team at UVa-Wise finished second in an event. Davis Absher's team shot a 609 over the two-day Alice Lloyd Spring Invitational to finish six strokes off the pace set by tournament champion Indiana Kokomo.
UVa-Wise shot 300 as a team on day one, led by Alex Arnold and Hunter Lunsford who each shot 73 on day one. Lunsford followed up his day one showing with a 76 on day two to finish the event with a 149.
Arnold shot a 150 for the event while Jacob Smith fired a 154 and Bryce Varner shot a 157. Hunter Farley shaved two strokes off his day one score of 80 to finish with a 158 for the tournament.
The Cavs will wrap up the spring season next weekend at the P.B. Dye Men's MEC Golf Invitational in Urbana, Ohio.
