WILMORE, Ky. - - UVa-Wise women's cross country competed in the Asbury Invitational Saturday morning where the Cavaliers posted a fifth-place finish and recorded a total time of 2:23:33 and a score of 95. Freshman Leah Baker rounded out the top-10 individual scorers, registering a total time of 22:53 in the 5k race.

Senior Tamyra Howell was close behind, notching a 12th place finish and completing the race in 22:59. Sophomore Brooke Wheatley posted a time of 24:25 followed by freshman Lexie Rhoton who completed the race in 25:13. Junior Mariah Meade crossed the line next for the Cavs with a total time of 25:20.

Up next, the Cavs will head to Wheeling, West Virginia to compete in the 2018 Mountain East Conference Championship Race on Nov. 3.
