Hall of Fame
Jim Gott is a 1972 graduate of The University of Virginia's College at Wise (then Clinch Valley College of the University of Virginia). During his tenure at UVa-Wise he was a member of the men's basketball team. He served as the UVa-Wise College Board Chair from 2003-2011 where he also co-chaired a committee on athletics. He also served on the UVa-Wise Foundation Board and was an ardent supporter of the Alumni Association. He was inducted into the Athletic Hall of Fame in 1998 for Outstanding Service and Support, Jim is the Co-owner and President of Coal Energy Resources, Inc., Virginia Electric, H & G Enterprises and Bryant Electric. He and his wife, Eva, currently live in Kingsport, Tennessee.
