NEW ORLEANS – All Region honors for the 2026 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season were announced recently by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) following the conclusion of the regular season. Top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region honors, in addition to each of the members of a top-3 ranked relay team. A pair of sophomores,
Lexi Carter and
Jordyn Taylor, earned the honor this season.
Sophomore
Lexi Carter finished at third in the shot put with her throw of 13.21 meters (43' 4.25") in the Lee Invitational. She also set new personal bests in discus and hammer throw this season, including a third place finish in the hammer throw at the SAC Championship. Carter also earned WePlayed Sports South Atlantic Conference Field Athlete of the Week honors at the end of March.
Jordyn Taylor ranked fourth in the region in pole vault with her vault of 3.50 meters (11' 5.75") at the King Invitational. The sophomore placed fourth in the event at the SAC Outdoor Championship and also set a new personal record in javelin as well this season. This is her second All-Region honor this season as she also earned the honor for the indoor season back in March.
The team completed their season a fortnight ago with their best-ever performance in the SAC Outdoor Championships, placing fourth. A highlight of the meet was
Nia Rogers capturing the program's first-ever SAC Championship in any event as she won the hammer throw.
