WISE -- Due to the Winter weather forecast for the region this weekend, the basketball doubleheader between UVA Wise and Wingate at Wingate originally scheduled for Saturday, January 24 has been moved up a day to Friday. Indoor Track & Field's VMI Invitational has also been moved to a Friday-only event.

The basketball times are also changing, with the women's game tipping off at 4 p.m. and the men's at 6 p.m.

Both games are key South Atlantic Conference matchups, with the UVA Wise women (10-6, 7-3 SAC) and Wingate (11-5, 6-4) currently standing at fifth and sixth in the SAC standings. On the men''s side, UVA Wise (14-4, 7-3 SAC) is tied for third with Catawba and Wingate (8-8, 3-7) is in a three-way tie for ninth.
