Evan Ramsey and
Kolier Pruett have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® team for the 2025-26 season.
Ramsey, a redshirt sophomore from Abingdon, Virginia, ranked third in the SAC in total rebounds (243) and rebounds per game (7.8). He was fourth in offensive rebounds (76), defensive rebounds (167) and blocks (57), and field goal percentage (58.1). He led the Cavs in points (436) is was second in points a game (14.1) and rebounds a game.
Pruett, a sophomore from Narrows, Virginia, averaged 5.8 points and 3.6 rebounds a game. He also averaged 1.42 assists and 1.0 steals a game.
The Academic All-District® Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court/field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Nominees must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 grade point average or higher. They must also have played in a specific number of games/matches or started a specific number of games/matches. Some sports have extra criteria, like track and field nominees needing to win or place highly in the regional rankings. The number of nominees are limited within each respective sport and the at-large team (which comprises golf, lacrosse, beach volleyball, field hockey, and several other sports).
