ROCK HILL, SC – UVA Wise placed four men's basketball players on the All-South Atlantic Conference teams, conference officials announced today.
Evan Ramsey was named First Team,
Yoro Diallo was named Second Team,
Kam Roberts earned Third Team honors, and
Cy Hardy was named to the All-Freshman Team.
Ramsey earns First Team honors after being named to the Second Team last season. The Abingdon, Virginia, native ranks third in the SAC in total rebounds (234) and offensive rebounds (72), fourth in defensive rebounds (162) and blocks (55), and fifth in rebounds per game (7.8). He is third on the team in scoring with 13.9 points a game.
Diallo earns Second Team honors as he leads the team in scoring (14.5 ppg) and assists (3.3 apg) and is second in rebounds with 8.0 rpg). He is second in the SAC in rebounds per game, third in defensive rebounds (169), fourth in total rebounds (224) and eighth in assists (93).
Roberts is third in the SAC in made field goals (176) and eighth in points (423). He leads the team in total points (423) and is second in scoring percentage with 14.1 ppg.
Hardy was named to the All-Freshman team after averaging 7.4 points and 2.0 rebounds a game this season. He is also second on the team in assists with 2.6 per game.
The team will make their third appearance in the SAC Tournament in the last four years when they face Catawba Thursday at Noon in the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center. It will be the second time in five days the two teams have met.
