WISE – Today is National Signing Day for football, and the UVA Wise coaching staff have been logging a lot of hours on the recruiting trail with the result being an incoming class of 37 total signees.
The incoming class has an average GPA of 3.69 and as a whole brings 264 total wins to the table. It includes 13 All-State performers and 28 All-Region performers. Twenty of them are defensive players, Fifteen of them are offensive players, and there are two who specialize in special teams. The class comprises players from eight states, and a breakdown by state and position is below.
Coach
Gary Bass commented about the class, ""We are so excited to announce these 37 new members of our FAMILY. There are 6 midyear enrollees as well as 31 High School commits.
"We looked for young men that demonstrated the ability on the field, in the classroom and in the community to fill this class. They are young men of character and Pursue Excellence With A Vengeance in all aspects of their life.
"We believe with the additions of these young men and who have returning we will be able to take the next step as a program to continue developing a foundation of our program."
