GAME ONE
- Mallory McKnight put the Cavs on the board in the second inning with a solo home run over the center field fence. The Cavs would put five more across the plate in the innings, including a Taylor Clay single up the middle that scored Adyson Gibson and Emma McCauley.
- The Trojans scored their only run in the fourth when Alaijah Pratt stole home from third as part of an attempted double steal.
- Three runs scored for the Cavs on three consecutive batters in the bottom of the fourth, and the Trojans were unable to get anything going in the top of the fifth, ending the game via the run-rule.
- Five Highland Cavaliers had two hits apiece, with McCauley, Mataya Ausmus, and Gibson all also crossing the plate twice. Clay led the team with three RBI.
- Savannah Paul earned the win as she allowed only the one run off of three hits and struck out six in five innings of work.

GAME TWO
- The Trojans scored first in the top of the first innings as a single to left field scored a runner from third. The Cavs tied it up at 1-1 in the bottom of the inning when Gibson scored from second on a single by Kaylynn Baker.
- After VSU recaptured the lead in the top of the second, UVA Wise had runners score on a sacrifice fly and a double to take the 3-2 lead.
- VSU once again plated two in the fourth and took the 4-3 lead.
- From that point it was basically all UVA Wise as they scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth, five runs in the fifth, and one in the sixth while holding Virginia State to two hits over the stretch to win by the run-rule.
- Clay, Lindsey Polan, and Gibson led the team with three hits and three runs each. Ausmus and McKnight had two hits each, including another home run by McKnight.
- Bayleigh Allison took the win as she entered in the third inning and allowed two runs from four hits. Sophie Kreese entered in the fifth inning with the Cavs ahead 6-4 and pitched the final two innings to earn her first save of the season. She only allowed two hits during her tenure.
