ROCK HILL, SC – The UVA Wise softball team has placed two student-athletes on All-SAC squads, with Lindsey Polan being named the Second Team Designated Player and Adyson Gibson earning Third Team Outfielder honors.

The conference made the announcement earlier today.

Polan was third on the team in hitting in 2026 with a .362 batting average. The sophomore from Blacksburg scored 16 runs, had 34 RBI and 46 hits with eight doubles and a team-high seven home runs. She led the team in OPS with 1.033, and slugging percentage with .591. Her .442 on-base percentage was second-best on the team behind Gibson.

Gibson, a junior from Gate City, Virginia, led the team in hitting with a .379 batting average and a .471 slugging percentage. She had 53 hits, 32 runs, 11 RBI, two doubles, four triples (second in the SAC) and a home run. Gibson was 16-18 in stolen bases to lead the team and ranks fourth in the SAC in that category. Her 31 walks this season were a new single-season school record. Career-wise she ranks third all-time in on-base percentage (.447), fourth in walks (71) and triples (9), and sixth in batting average (.351).

They are the first All-SAC softball performers from UVA Wise since the 2021 season.
