WISE/ROCK HILL, S.C. (TheSAC.com) — UVA Wise guard Bradley Dean has been named the South Atlantic Conference Varsity Gems Men's Basketball Player of the Week for games played during week six of the 2022-23 season, the Conference announced today.

Dean, a sophomore from Gate City, Va., led the Cavaliers to a 1-1 record last week with a 94-86 overtime win against Limestone. He scored a career-high 40 points with six rebounds and two assists in the win. He then scored 17 points with three rebounds, three assists, and a steal against Coker. For the week he averaged 28.5 points per game with 4.5 rebounds and 2.5 assists. Dean now leads the league in scoring with 19.9 points per game.

After the break, Dean and the UVA Wise men's basketball team next play at Young Harris on Dec. 31 with a 4 p.m. tipoff.
