WINGATE, N.C. - - It was a personal record-setting day for the men's cross team at UVA Wise as each man that competed in the NCAA Southeast Regional posted a new personal best time in the event. Freshman Jonah Adams' time of 34:54.91 paced the way for the Cavalier men in the 10K run with sophomore Isabella Mullins' 26:00.12 led the way in the 6K event.
Fellow freshman Asher Whitt was the next highest-finishing UVA Wise runner in the meet as he crossed the finish line with a time of 38:52.47. Meanwhile, junior Zachary Owens' time of 39:20.38 and Nick DeBoard's 40:54.34 also established new personal records.
Peyton Salyer and Chase Templeton rounded out the personal best days for UVA Wise with times of 42:39.61 and 43:34.16 respectively.
In addition to Mullins, Kaley Sykes ran a 26:12.50, Haley Sykes posted a 26:46.59, Lexie Rhoton ran a 27:46.51 and Gracie Cress crossed the line at 30:00.42 to round out the women competing for UVA Wise in the field.
The event wraps up the fall cross country season.
