WISE - - UVa-Wise rising senior Kaian Duverger received national attention last fall when the wide receiver leaped above a quartet of Shepherd Rams and snagged a touchdown pass one handed in the Cavaliers' final football game of the year. The catch has now been nominated for Mountain East Conference Play of the Year.

Duverger's catch gained national attention as it went viral across various social media platforms. ESPN picked up the video and named it "You Got Mossed" Catch of the Week while the NCAA featured it in its Weekly Top 10.

The catch capped an impressive year for the 6-foot-6 receiver as he snared 41 catches for 530 yards and eight touchdowns in his first season at UVa-Wise. For his efforts, Duverger earned Second-Team All-MEC accolades.
