Brown, Donalson, Schultz Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

WISEIssie Brown, Addie Donalson, and Caitlyn Schultz from the UVA Wise lacrosse team have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® At-LargeTeam for the 2026 season.

All three are seniors who have made their mark on the program over their tenure.

Brown led the team in draws won with 48 while also picking up 30 ground balls. She also scored 19 goals and had 17 assists and was named First-Team All-South Atlantic Conference. The native of Adelaide, South Australia became only the second UVA Wise player to win more than 200 draws in her career (she ended her career with 210) and ended her career tied for eighth in ground balls with 112 and eighth in career assists with 41. She earns Academic All-District honors for the third time, which is every year she will be eligible. Only a very few UVA Wise student-athletes have achieved that.

Donalson was the main goalkeeper last season, compiling a 9.81 goals against average (fourth-best in the SAC) and having 97 saves. The Pittsburgh native had 258 saves in her career, ranking her second all-time at UVA Wise. Her 20 wins are also the second-most in program history.

Schultz had one of the top seasons by an attacker in program history in 2026 as the senior from Pittsburgh led the team with 63 goals, 74 points and 126 shots, marking her amongst the leaders in the SAC in those categories. She became the first player to score 60 or more goals in a season and her 74 points tie for second-most in a season. The 126 shots are also a new school record. She had six goals in a game on three occasions and five on four other occasions. She ends her career with 141 goals (4th all-time), 41 assists (7th), 182 points (4th), and 85 ground balls (16th). Her 296 shot attempts are the fifth-most in program history. For her efforts she was named First-Team All-SAC.

The Academic All-District® Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court/field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Nominees must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 grade point average or higher. They must also have played in a specific number of games/matches or started a specific number of games/matches.

Some sports have extra criteria, like track and field nominees needing to win or place highly in the regional rankings. The number of nominees are limited within each respective sport and the at-large team (which comprises golf, lacrosse, beach volleyball, field hockey, and several other sports).
