Issie Brown, Taryn Moreno and Caitlyn Schultz Earn All-SAC First-Team Honors; Logen Davis Named to Third Team

ROCK HILL, SC – On the heels of one of their most successful seasons, the UVA Wise women's lacrosse team has four student-athletes representing them on All-South Atlantic Conference teams. Issie Brown, Taryn Moreno, and Caitlyn Schultz made the First Team, while Logen Davis earned Third Team honors. The teams were announced by the SAC office earlier today.

The three first-teamers are the first time the team has achieved this feat in the SAC after joining the conference in the 2019-20 academic year.

Brown, a senior midfielder from Adelaide, South Australia, had 19 goals and 17 assists to go along with her team-high 48 draws won (she ranks top ten in the SAC in that category). For her career she had 60 goals and 41 assists for 101 points, making her the 17th player in program history to pass 100 points. Brown also ends her career with 112 ground balls (tied for eighth all-time) and 210 draws won (second all-time – she is the second player in program history with 200 or more draws won). This is the first time she has made an All-SAC team.

Moreno led the team defensively in caused turnovers (32) and ground balls (39) this season. The senior from Cumming, Georgia, ranked in the top ten in the SAC in both categories. She ends her career ranked third in school history in caused turnovers with 108 and fifth in ground balls with 143. She earns All-SAC honors for the third time and First Team honors for the second straight season.

Schultz had one of the top seasons by an attacker in program history in 2026 as the senior from Pittsburgh led the team with 63 goals, 74 points and 126 shots, marking her amongst the leaders in the SAC in those categories. She became the first player to score 60 or more goals in a season and her 74 points tie for second-most in a season. The 126 shots are also a new school record. She had six goals in a game on three occasions and five on four other occasions. She ends her career with 141 goals (4th all-time), 41 assists (7th), 182 points (4th), and 85 ground balls (16th). Her 296 shot attempts are the fifth-most in program history. This is Schultz' second All-SAC honor and her first time on the First Team. She also was named the school's Co-Female Athlete of the Year last night at the annual Smiddy Awards.

Davis closes her career earning All-SAC honors for the second year in a row. The senior from Sherwood Park, Alberta, led the team in assists (and was fifth in the SAC) with 29, was second on the team in points with 55, and third in goals with 26. Her eight assists in her final game against Newberry on Saturday tied for the third most in a game in school history. She finishes her career with 96 goals and 97 assists for 193 points. The points are the second-most in program history, while her 97 assists are third all-time and the 96 goals are eleventh all-time.

The 2026 season was a highly successful one for the team as they went 13-5 overall and 7-3 in South Atlantic Conference play. The 13 wins tie for the second most in a season in school history with the 2019 team and the 7-3 SAC record is best since the 2021 team also went 7-3 and only trails the 2019 squad's 9-1 Mountain East Conference record for best conference record ever. They were named Team of the Year at the Smiddy Awards for their success this year.

The team will return in the Fall.
