Lucy Cunliffe,
Constanca Azinhaga,
Kenzy Abdelaal, and
Andreea Onitoiu have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District® Team for the 2025-26 season.
Cunliffe, a native of Newton Le Willows in the United Kingdom, recently graduated
magna cum laude with a slew of academic awards, including the Chancellor's Medal for Excellence in Undergraduate Research. On the court, she led the team in singles victories with 12 while having 11 wins in doubles. She ends her career with 31 singles wins and 36 wins in doubles play.
Azinhaga, another four-year senior, had 10 singles and 13 doubles wins this past season. She graduated over the weekend
cum laude and ends her career with 35 singles and 40 doubles wins.
Abdelaal, transferred into the program and made an immediate impact, earning All-SAC Third Team Singles Honors this season. She had 11 singles and 13 doubles wins at the first flight.
Onitoiu transferred into the program this year and also made her mark on the team with eight singles and nine doubles victories.
The Academic All-District® Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court/field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Nominees must be at least a sophomore with a 3.5 grade point average or higher. They must also have played in a specific number of games/matches or started a specific number of games/matches. Some sports have extra criteria, like track and field nominees needing to win or place highly in the regional rankings. The number of nominees are limited within each respective sport and the at-large team (which comprises golf, lacrosse, beach volleyball, field hockey, and several other sports).
