BRISTOL, TN – The UVA Wise women's tennis team opened their 2025-26 season by competing in the King Invitational. The one-day event featured several regional teams and featured both singles and doubles matchups.

In doubles play the duo of Kenzy Abdelaal and Melissa Lino Airoldi went 2-1 on the day with wins over doubles pairs from Johnson and Lees-McRae. Andreea Onitoiu and Juliana Bastidas Tamayo also went 2-1 with wins over Johnson and Lees-McRae. Lucy Cunliffe and Constance Azinhaga went 3-0 with wins over Lincoln Memorial, Johnson, and Lees-McRae.

In singles, Christina Korakopoulou went 1-1 against players from LMU and won against players from Johnson and Bluefield State. Abdelaal, Linio Airoldi, Onitoiu, Bastidas Tamayo, and Azinhaga all picked up wins over Bluefield State players.
