WISE – Five UVA WIse lacrosse student-athletes have been named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District At Large Team. Issie Brown, Logen Davis, Noley Hiller, Alexis Hilstrom, and Kaylea Paterson all earned this honor for the 2025 season.
Brown, a junior from Adelaide, South Australia, scored 16 goals and had six assists this season. She was also second on the team in draws won (53) and ground balls (29) and third in caused turnovers with 19. She also had a big off-season last August as she represented Australia in the U20 Women's World Championship in Hong Kong.
Davis, a junior from Sherwood Park, Alberta, led the team in assists (30) and points (63) and also scored 33 goals and picked up fourteen ground balls. She was named All-South Atlantic Conference Second Team for her efforts.
Hiller, a sophomore from Greenville, South Carolina, led the team in goals with 35 while also adding in ten assists for a total of 45 points. She also picked up eleven ground balls.
Hilstrom, a sophomore from Williamsburg, Virginia, scored six goals and had three assists. She also picked up 16 ground balls, caused ten turnovers and won 26 draws.
Sophomore Kaylea Paterson had 25 goals and 25 assists for 50 total points in 2025. The Maple Ridge, British Columbia, native also won fifteen draws, caused twelve turnovers and had thirteen ground balls.
The Academic All-District® Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court/field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Nominees must be at least a sophomore with at a 3.5 grade point average or higher. They must also have played in a specific number of games/matches or started a specific number of games/matches. Some sports have extra criteria, like track and field nominees needing to win or place highly in the regional rankings. The number of nominees are limited within each respective sport and the at-large team (which comprises golf, lacrosse, beach volleyball, field hockey, and several other sports).
