ROCK HILL, SC – The South Atlantic Conference has released the 2025 All-SAC Baseball Teams, and UVA Wise outfielder
Joshua Morgan has been named to the Third Team.
Morgan, a junior from Fairview, North Carolina, led the team in hitting as he has hit .353 thus far this season. He has 55 hits in 156 at bats with 36 runs and an OPS of 1.018. Morgan has hit 17 doubles, a triple, six home runs, and has a team-high 34 RBI. He is also a perfect 2-2 in stolen bases.
Morgan's 17 doubles are currently seventh-most in a season and are four shy of the school record of 21 set by Steve Tyler in 2002 and Brad Robbins in 2010.
He is a key part of the success of the 2025 Highland Cavalier baseball team as the team has had one of their best seasons in years. Their current total of 26 wins ties for the program's best record in the NCAA Era (2013-present) and are the second-most since 2010. Their 14 SAC wins and 9-0 start to the season are both the best in program history. They also won six SAC series.
The team has qualified for the SAC Baseball Tournament for the first time ever and are the seventh seed. They will face second-seeded Lenoir-Rhyne Friday at 7 p.m. in Hickory, North Carolina. The tournament bracket this year consists of a double-elimination opening round at the home sites of the top two seeds, followed by a three game series between the winners of the opening round at McCrary Park in Asheboro, NC May 9-10. If the Cavs win on Friday they will play the Carson-Newman/Wingate winner Saturday morning at 11 a.m. Should they lose on Friday they will play the C-N/WU loser at 3 p.m.
