EMORY, VA -- The UVA Wise men's tennis team picked up a key South Atlantic Conference win Wednesday afternoon with the 4-0 win at Emory & Henry. The women fell to the Wasps in their matchup by 4-0 margin.

The men captured the doubles point by a pair of 6-2 wins at the first and second flights. They were leading in the third flight when the point was reached.

In singles, Miguel De Rueda won at the second flight and Yi-Hsuan Chen took the fourth flight to put the Cavs ahead 3-0. In the third flight, Chathurya Nilaweera then captured the win to give the Highland Cavaliers the match.

The tennis teams will host Newberry in a pair of SAC matches on the Jim & Betty Humphreys Tennis Courts Saturday. The women's match will begin at 11 a.m. and the men will follow at 1:30
