WISE – The UVA Wise softball team fell to King in their final meetings of the year Tuesday afternoon on the Bill Gatton Softball Field.

GAME ONE
- The Cavs allowed seven runs off of 15 hits while King only allowed three hits in the shutout.
- The game was scoreless until King scored four runs off of three RBI singles in the fifth inning. They added another run via an error in the sixth inning.
- The Tornado then put the game away in the top of the seventh with a pair of insurance runs.

Mataya Ausmus accounted for the Cavs' three hits.
GAME TWO
- King put three across the plate in the top of the first inning. The Cavs got a run back in the bottom of the inning when
Lindsey Polan singled to deep center, scoring
Adyson Gibson from third.
- The Tornado picked up another two runs in the third via a two RBI double to left center field.
- King added two more runs in the fourth from a triple down the right field line.
- Gibson and
Taylor Clay had two hits apiece, with Polan adding another hit.
- Gibson accounted for two runs, and Hanna Bruce had the other one via two RBI from
Kaylynn Baker and another from Polan.

The Cavs will host open South Atlantic Conference play and host the final weekend of their long homestand as they host Limestone Saturday afternoon and then host Davis & Elkins in a non-conference doubleheader on Sunday.
