MARS HILL, NC -- The UVA Wise tennis teams swept Mars Hill for a pair of South Atlantic Conference wins on Wednesday.
The women won 6-0 and the men won 4-0.
In women's action, the Cavs took the doubles point and also had a win at no. 6 singles due to not having enough healthy players.
The Cavs then swept flights two through five to claim the win.
Constanca Azinhaga winning at no. 2,
Christina Korakopoulou at no. 3,
Lucy Cunliffe at no. 4, and
Kinsey Knox at no. 5.
The men captured the doubles point and won at flights three, four, and six.
Daniel Gonzalez Garza won at the third flight,
Yi-Hsuan Chen took the fourth flight, and
Diego Pedrero sealed the win at no. six.
The teams will play at Tusculum next Tuesday. The women's match will start at 11:00 a.m. and the men's will begin at 1:30 p.m.
