WISE – The UVA Wise lacrosse team opened up the South Atlantic Conference portion of their schedule as they defanged the Coker Cobras 18-4 Sunday afternoon on the Beaty-Richmond Field at Carl Smith Stadium.
Grace Gollatt had a haul of goals to lead the team for the second consecutive game.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Gollatt scored the first three goals of the game and all the goals in the first quarter.
- The Cavs would extend their lead to 10-0 before the Cobras got on the board with a goal late in the second period.
- UVA Wise would add to their lead as they controlled the possession battle, which enabled them to outscore Coker 3-1 in the third period.
- The Cobras would score two more goals in the fourth quarter, but UVA Wise scored five to end the game with the 18-4 victory.
GETTING WISE
- Gollatt led the team with her haul of goals (i.e. four goals). She has now scored seven goals in three days. She also had two assists.

Issie Brown,
Logen Davis,
Alexis Hilstrom, and
Noley Hiller each notched two goals apiece. Brown also won a match-high six draws.
- Six other UVA Wise players had a goal apiece.

Addie Donalson and
Katie Michaels split time in cage, with each playing a half.
- UVA Wise out-shot Coker 34-5, won 15 draws to eight by Coker, and forced the Cobras into 26 turnovers.
