DANVILLE, KY - The UVA Wise men's and women's track and field teams delivered a record-breaking performance Saturday at the Centre First Chance Indoor Meet, highlighted by multiple school records, event victories, and podium finishes as the Cavaliers continued their strong start to the indoor season.
MEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
The UVA Wise men posted several standout performances, including two individual event victories and multiple new program marks.
SeniorÂ
Jonah Adams claimed the 3000m title with a winning time of 9:38.51. FreshmanÂ
Ronald Gray added another victory by winning the weight throw with a throw of 15.77m (51-9), setting a new indoor school record.
SeniorÂ
Hunter Blevins rewrote the program record books in the shot put, launching a new school mark of 13.55m (44-5.50). SophomoreÂ
Henry McFarlin also broke the indoor school record in the long jump with a leap of 6.52m (21-4.75) and added a third-place finish.

WOMEN'S HIGHLIGHTS
The Cavalier women delivered one of the strongest indoor performances in program history, highlighted by multiple program records and event wins.

Jordyn Taylor captured first place in the pole vault and set a new indoor school record with a clearance of 3.20m (10-6). SophomoreÂ
Lexi Carter won the shot put with a school-record throw of 12.64m (41-5.75), while seniorÂ
Nia Rogers captured the weight throw title with a new indoor program mark of 15.06m (49-5). Junior
Jayden Sisk captured first place in the 800m at 3:07.10
FreshmanÂ
Jocie Aldrich continued her record-setting season, breaking the school record in both the 60m hurdles (9.50) and the triple jump (10.99m / 36-0.75) while also placing second in the triple jump.
SophomoreÂ
Olivia McClintock recorded a school-record time of 7.78 in the 60m dash, finishing second overall. Additional podium performances includedÂ

UP NEXT
The Cavaliers will return to action following the Christmas break when they travel to Lexington, Va. for the VMI Invitational, scheduled for January 23–24. The meet will mark the team's return to competition in the new year as they continue to build momentum through the indoor season.
