DANVILLE, KY – The UVA Wise men's and women's track and field teams concluded their regular season at the Centre Outdoor Twilight Meet on April 17, hosted by Centre College in Danville, Kentucky. The meet served as a final competitive tune-up before the South Atlantic Conference Championships, and the Cavaliers responded with a high-output performance highlighted by multiple school records and consistent top-five finishes.
WOMEN'S RESULTS
- The women's squad showed range across sprints, hurdles, distance, and field events, producing a significant number of school-record performances.

Madison Sutherland set a new program mark in the 100m (12.23), while
Haley Faulkner continued her progression in the 400m with a school record 59.30, finishing second.
Lydia Slemp lowered her own standard in the 1500m, running 4:49.55 for fifth place.

Jocie Aldrich was a central contributor, resetting two school records in the hurdles—15.81 in the 100m hurdles and 1:08.83 in the 400m hurdles—while also adding a runner-up finish in the triple jump (11.15m).
Destiny Ansley-Cureton delivered a strong field performance with a school record leap of 5.51m (18-1) to place second in the long jump.
In the throws,
Nia Rogers established a new school record in the hammer (45.11m), finishing third, and added a top-five finish in the shot put (12.03m).
- Additional top-five performances came from
Alexsis Porter in the 5000m (5th),
Raegan Cox in the high jump (4th), and a strong showing in the long jump group with Sutherland (3rd) and
Braelynn Strouth (4th). The women demonstrated both depth and upward trajectory across event areas heading into the postseason.
MEN'S RESULTS
- The men's team produced a more concentrated but effective set of performances, particularly in the jumps and throws.

Henry McFarlin highlighted the group with a school record in the triple jump (13.34m), finishing third, while also placing second in the long jump (6.47m). In the throws,
Bobby Cline set a new school record in the hammer throw (51.02m), finishing fourth, continuing his consistent progression in the event.

Peyton Honeycutt contributed across the sprint events with top-five finishes in both the 100m (10.86) and 200m (22.29), and was part of the 4x100m relay team that placed second (43.01), alongside
Henry McFarlin,
Jack Curtis, and
Xavier Jenkins.
- Additional scoring-level performances included
Abel Dingus in the javelin (3rd, 45.05m), reinforcing the team's strength in the throwing events.
