SNOW HILL, NC – The UVA Wise women's golf team finished the Barton Fall Intercollegiate in eighth place.
The three round par 72 event was held at the Cutter Creek Golf Club.
As a team, the Highland Cavaliers finished in eighth place with a 359-332-346=1037 result.
Emma Zelaski led the team as she tied for 39
th with scores of 89-83-82=254, while
Julia Kessler was 43
rd as she shot 85-83-90=258 for the tournament.
Lilli Kate Barker was two strokes and two places behind Kessler as she hit 91-83-86=260, and
Olivia Baker placed in 47
th with her total of 94-83-88=265.
The team will next compete in the Atomic City Classic in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, on Oct. 21-22.
