JONESBOROUGH, TN -- The first round of the Agnes McAmis Memorial Tournament was a good one for the UVA Wise women's golf team as
Abby Bradley's program-record round of 71 (-1) also paced the Highland Cavaliers to their best team round in program history with a 315 (+27) for the round. Bradley is the first UVA Wise women's golfer to shoot a sub-par round.since the program began in 2012.
Abby Bradley secured a strong sixth-place finish with a final score of 148 (+4). She opened the tournament impressively with a 71 (-1) in the first round and followed it up with a 77 (+5) in the second round.
Emma Zelaski tied for 24th, completing the tournament with a final score of 162 (+18). She carded a 77 (+5) in the first round and an 85 (+13) in the second round.
Lilli Kate Barker finished in 28th place with a score of 163 (+19). Her rounds included a 79 (+7) and an 84 (+12).
Julia Kessler finished tied for 32nd, totaling 168 (+24) for the event. She improved significantly from an 88 (+16) in the first round to an 80 (+8) in the second round.
The Cavs will next hit the links on March 30 when they play in the Eagle Invitational in Lexington, Kentucky.
