WISE - Cavalier women's tennis continues to perform as they notch another narrow 4-3 victory on Saturday and move to 3-0 on the season.

UVA Wise handled their business in doubles by taking two of three sets to earn the doubles point. 

In doubles play sophomores Lucy Cunliffe and Christina Korakopoulou won out over their counterparts in a tight one, 6-4. 

The freshman duo of Kinsey Knox and Abiela Wang made quick work of their opponents as well, winning their match 6-1.

Singles matches were split between the two sides, 3-3, but the Cavaliers took care of things early on in the run of play, securing the clinch after winning three of the first four matches.

Freshman Kinsey Knox scored the first point for UVA Wise by defeating SVU's junior Grace Howell, 6-1 and 6-3.

Another impressive performance by a Cavalier freshman, Abiela Wang, resulted in a victory over Knights freshman Ella Dalby, 6-3 and 6-2.

The Cavs clinching point was scored by sophomore Constanca Azinhaga as she defeated junior Jillian Arnold, 6-4 and 6-2.

The trio of straight set victories from the young Cavaliers put the match out of reach and pushed UVA Wise's undefeated run to three to open the season.

UVA Wise women's tennis is back in action for another home contest, where they will be taking on Milligan University, Saturday, Oct. 7 at 10 a.m.
