DEAN NAMED NABC SECOND TEAM ALL-DISTRICT

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NABC has released the 2022-23 NABC Division II All-District Teams and District Coaches of the Year. The All-District honors are voted on by NABC-member coaches across NCAA Division II.

Bradley Dean, sophomore guard from Gate City, Va. was named to the second team NABC Southeast All-District Team. He is joined by other South Atlantic Conference players Chase Rankin from Lincoln Memorial (First Team), DeAngelo Epps from Catawba (Second Team), and Inady Legiste from Tusculum (Second Team).

Dean was named the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year on March 3 after his standout sophomore season — His 20.7 points per game led the conference with a margin of 3.7 points ahead of the second-place ranking. As of Feb. 25, his average ranked in the top 25 in all of Division II. Additionally, Dean averaged 3.9 assists per game which ranked sixth in the SAC.

Dean also aided the Cavaliers in their first SAC Championship appearance, and was named to the All-SAC Tournament team. His 84 points in the SAC Tournament tied a SAC Tournament record by Denzail Jones of Anderson in 2012.

UVA Wise's 19-12 overall record finish was first winning season for the Cavaliers since 2010.
