CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The Cavalier men's cross country team heads home from the Royals Challenge with a ninth place finish, having scored 262 points.
Milligan University took home the overall crown with a score of 44, coming home 218 points ahead of UVA Wise.
Sophomore Jonah Adams continued to impress for the Cavs as he led the way for UVA Wise. Adams posted a time of 26:44.53 to place a dazzling eighth out of 215 competitors.Â
Freshman Eric Hegg followed Adams for the Cavs, crossing the line with a time of 27:23.45 and coming home in 18th place. The third Cavalier to finish the event was freshman Chad Douglas, he did so with a time of 28:53.67, finishing the 8K run in 50th place.
Milligan senior Arran Kearney paced all competitors in the event to take the individual victory with a time of 26:01.88.
The stakes continue to be raised for the Cavs men as a trip to Hickory, N.C. on Oct. 21 for the SAC Championships comes up next on the schedule.
