Men's Cross Country History

Men's Cross Country History

The UVA Wise men's cross country program was started in the early 1960s. There were no scholarships and UVA Wise was a two-year institution until 1969, so some years there was no team fielded due to low turnout. Scholarships were gradually phased in by the school over the 1970s and 80s so the men's team relied on turnout until the late 1980s, with some years only having 3-4 runners.  .
