Box Score KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - Cavalier women's tennis finished up the fall portion of its schedule with a 6-1 road victory over Johnson University.
As has been the case for much of the early portion of the season, UVA Wise was dominant in doubles play, taking the doubles point with a trio of 6-1 contests in the Cavs favor.
Singles play saw continued success for the Highland Cavaliers. UVA Wise won five out of six matches, with their five wins coming in the first five matches completed.
Sophomore Constanca Azinhaga got things started in the best possible way for the Cavs by defeating Royals junior Caitlyn Bowling, 6-0 and 6-0. Another sophomore, Antonella Campodonico, continued the efficient operation for UVA Wise with a win over Caroline Rhoton, 6-1 and 6-0.
Lucy Cunliffe faced perhaps the toughest challenge on the day for UVA Wise. The Cavalier sophomore took the first set, 6-2, from junior Paola Testa, but Testa would not go without a fight. It took a thrilling 7-5 second set victory for Cunliffe to secure the victory for herself and to clinch the win for UVA Wise.  Â
