LOUISVILLE, Ky./WISE, Va. — Seven UVA Wise softball players were recognized as Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes for their academic achievement, the National Fastpitch College Association announced last week.

Hayley Duckett,
Kaylee Jones,
Mallory McKnight, and
Cloey Bailey received the honor due to achieving a 3.5 or better GPA on a 4.0 scale during the 2021-22 season.
A total of 7,527 collegiate student-athletes captured Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athlete honors for the 2021-22 academic year, with Rockhurst University leading the NCAA Division II with a 3.817 team GPA from 16 honorees.
As a team, UVA Wise put up a combined 3.1916 GPA in the 2021-22 spring semester.
The UVA Wise softball team went an even 18-18 overall in the 2022 season, finishing with a 10-14 record in the conference.
