UVA WISE NOTES

The UVA Wise Cavaliers have lost three of their last four conference matchups, falling to a clean sweep from Queens (April 13, 3-2 and 10-7) and falling to Catawba in game two of the day (April 14, 15-11).

- Additionally, three of the four games have ended in a late-game rally from opponents.

- Game 1 vs. Queens: extra-innings, walk-off single from Queens

- Game 2 vs. Queens: 7th-inning walk-off home run from Queens

- Game 2 vs. Catawba: five-hit, four-run inning in the 6th inning from Catawba

Even with Cavalier unfortunate luck, UVA Wise might have a shot at the conference tournament if they are to win the last four conference games of the regular season to put themselves at a 12-12 SAC record.
 

TUSCULUM/MHU NOTES

The Tusculum Pioneers are currently placed in ninth on the conference leaderboard after their most recent conference split against Queens on April 15.

- Pitcher Emily Sappington ranks fourth in the league in strikeouts (152) and fifth in the league in ERA (1.96)

- The Pioneers have suffered three conference sweeps (Wingate 3/5, Lenoir-Rhyne 3/11, and Anderson 3/29)

The Mars Hill Lions are currently placed in tenth on the conference leaderboard after their most recent conference losses against Limestone on April 20.

-Their most lethal offensive player is Maggie Langheim, who has 10 HRs on the season.
