WISE – The UVA Wise women's volleyball team will head to Greeneville, Tenn. to face Tusculum University this Tuesday, Sept. 11 for their second game of the season.

Notes on UVA Wise
- After a hard-fought battle against King in their season opener, the Cavaliers are going into the match with an 0-1 record. Tusculum will be the Cavalier's first conference opponent of the season.
- Kaylee Scarce snagged 15 digs in her outing against King, while senior Kelsey Green accumulated a leading number of nine kills against the Tornado and Zoe Avery had 16 assists on the night.
Notes on Tusculum
-Tusculum Pioneers had an extremely shortened season like the rest of their opponents, only completing in six matches in the 2020-2021 season. In their previous season, they were 2-4 overall, and 2-3 against SAC opponents.
- This will be the fifth match of the season for the Pioneers, and they will face UVA Wise in their home-opener.
-Most recently, the Pioneers competed in the IUP Invitational and won the tournament, going t3-1 on the weekend. In the tournament, the Pioneers averaged 13.19 kills per set and 12.69 assists per set.
-Outside hitter Raeley Matthews won the Astroturf Offensive Player of the Week last week for her skillful outing at the IUP Invitational, garnering 55 kills and 53 digs on the 16-match weekend.

- The last matchup between UVA Wise and Tusculum University was Oct. 22, 2019, with the Pioneers winning 3-0 (25-17, 25-19, 25-8).
