Six student-athletes from the UVA Wise softball team have been recognized as Easton/NFCA (National Fastpitch Coaches Association) All-America Scholar-Athletes in the DivisIon-II category.

In order to be recognized, a student-athlete had to acquire a cumulative 3.5 GPA or higher from the previous two semesters (Fall 2020 and Spring 2021) and be part of an NFCA member school.

Kailey Huffman, a recent senior of UVA Wise from Lynchburg, Va, was awarded the honor due to her 3.63 cumulative GPA from the previous two semesters. She was also part of UVA Wise's Dean's List announced in May 2021 because of her academic success.
