Box Score MARS HILL, N.C. - Women's tennis fell 5-2 to the Lions of Mars Hill University Wednesday afternoon on the road. Junior Liza Akimenko and freshman Sarah Moore posted a 6-1 win at No. 1 doubles while Liza Akimenko recorded a 6-1, 6-3 win at No. 1 singles and fellow junior Katya Akimenko prevailed in a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 2 singles.

Katya Akimenko and junior Grace Hall teamed up at No. 2 doubles for the Cavs (2-13, 0-10 SAC) as the pair fell in a tiebreaker 7-6(7-1) to Mars Hill's (2-11, 1-10 SAC) Maria Razetta and Elana Mackey. The Lions picked up the doubles point with a default win at No. 3 doubles.

In singles, Hall was outlasted 7-5, 7-5 by the Lions Lauren Schave while Moore and junior Lillian Morris were swept at the No. 4 and No. 5 spot, respectively. Mars Hill recorded another default win at No. 6 singles for the 5-2 win.

Head coach Danny Rowland's team will face Anderson University Sunday at the Jim & Betty Humphreys Tennis Complex at 3 p.m. in the Cavs final regular season match of the campaign.
