HICKORY, N.C. - - The 2021 women's lacrosse season ended for UVA Wise Friday as the fourth seed Cavaliers fell 22-4 to top seeded Queens University of Charlotte in the semifinal round of the 2021 South Atlantic Conference Tournament.

Queens (12-1) scored the first 16 goals of the game and led 13-0 at intermission en route to the running clock victory.

UVA Wise (8-6) received goals from Ashley Shannon, Mallory Trimble, Katie Allen and Samantha Hill in the second half, but Meghan Dennehy's squad was unable to overcome 24 turnovers and a quartet of yellow cards in the contest.

The Royals were led by Rachel Perrett (7) and Shannon Donavan (4) who combined to score half of the team's 22 goals.

Queens advances to the championship round where they will meet the winner of Limestone and Wingate Sunday.
