HARROGATE, Tenn. – Women's tennis was edged on the road by Milligan University Saturday afternoon, 4-3.

In doubles, juniors Katya Akimenko and Grace Hall paired up at No. 1 for a 7-5 victory while junior Liza Akimenko and freshman Sarah Moore posted a 7-5 win at No. 2 to give the Cavaliers the doubles point.

Liza Akimenko and Katya Akimenko each won their match in singles play. At the number one spot, Liza Akimenko recorded a 6-0, 6-1 defeat of Milligan's Kaitlin Barrett. Katya Akimenko earned a 6-2, 6-2 victory over the Buffaloes' Kylie Enarson at number two for the Cavs.

Head coach Danny Rowland's team will be back in action tomorrow to face Randolph College on the road. First serve is slated for 12 p.m.
