KINGSPORT, Tenn. - - UVA Wise placed fifth in the Nick England Memorial held at Cattails at Meadowview in Kingsport, Tenn. Robin Dotson's team shot a 355 in the event, 55 strokes off the team champion Milligan University. The Buffaloes Emma Brown took home medalist honors with a round of 71 to beat teammates Sarah Castle and Gabby Hammond by one stroke.

Olivia Baker was the top finishing Cavalier in the event. The freshman shot an 81 to finish in a tie for 13th place, teammate Sarah Arnold placed 22nd with a round score of 89 with Haley Howard shooting a 90 to place 25th. Erin Musick finished 29th with a score of 95 while Hanna Damron rounded out UVA Wise golfers in the event with a score of 105 to finish in 33rd place.

The Cavs will be back in action on Oct. 23 when the team travels to Ravenswood, W.Va. for the Shriner's Hospital Intercollegiate at Green Hills Country Club.
