A New Season is Upon Us         
UVA Wise is in its first season as a South Atlantic Conference member.
The Cavaliers open the season with eight consecutive games away from Cavalier Field to begin 2020. A year ago, UVA Wise posted a 7-14 away from home.
UVA Wise has won 20 or more games in four consecutive seasons. The stretch includes a pair of 30 plus win seasons.

Inside SAC Action           
The South Atlantic Conference went 7-1 as a conference on Saturday.
Lincoln Memorial University is ranked 13th nationally in the Preseason NFCA Division II Poll.
In 2019, every SAC school won at least 20 games. LMU advanced to the regional final while the Railsplitters and three other conference schools won at least 30 games.

UVA Wise haswon three of its last four season openers. A year ago, the Cavaliers defeated Barton College 11-3 in the season opener.
The Cavaliers scored seven or more runs 11 times last season.
UVA Wise ranked 41st nationally in homers per game last season at 0.84 per contest.
Kaylee Jones lined 18 extra-base hits as a sophomore in 2019.
Kailyn Spencer won a team-high 10 games in the circle last spring. The right-hander posted a 3.25 ERA over 120 2/3 innings pitched while adding a save.
Alexis Miles posted a .310/.400/.600 slash line in 2019. The outfielder lined 12 doubles while slugging 10 homers.
Nikki Smith joins Kaylee Jones and Alexis Miles as returners that started all 49 games in 2019.
