WISE - - Senior outfielder David Thomas was named to the 2019 Mountain East Conference Tournament All-Tournament Team. The Goodview, Va. product went 7-for-14 with six RBI, three runs scored and a double in the Cavaliers' three games during the event as he aided the program to its first postseason appearance and victory as a NCAA Division II member.

Thomas finished his career seventh in school history with 170 games played and seventh in games started with 159. The outfielder finished 10th in school history with 105 RBI, 11th in school history with 168 hits, 11th in total bases with 234 and 19th in doubles with 26.

He is the first baseball player at UVa-Wise to be named to an all-tournament team since the College moved to NCAA Division II. The 5-foot-11, 210-pounder finished his senior season hitting .329 with eight doubles, four home runs and 30 RBI.
