About UVa-Wise

-         UVa-Wise can claim at least a share of its second consecutive MEC regular season title with a win Friday. A win would also guarantee the school of hosting next week's league tournament.

-         The Cavaliers lead the league and rank 19th nationally in assists per game at 7.4. UVa-Wise also leads the MEC in points per game (22.6), scoring offense (15.2 ppg), shot percentage (.453) and shots on goal per game (26.8)

-         Meghan Dennehy's squad enters the game having won 10 consecutive home games against league foes. Wheeling Jesuit was the last MEC School to come to Wise and win when they did so on April 15, 2017.

-         Senior McKayla Grasham recently became the third player in program history to reach 150 career points. The Baltimore native enters Friday's game having registered a hat trick in seven consecutive games.

-         Five Cavs have at least 43 points this season. Grasham (57) and junior Jesse French (54) lead the way from a point standpoint.

Notes on Wheeling Jesuit

- Wheeling Jesuit must win back-to-back road games this weekend to earn a share of the league title. The Cardinals are a game back of the Cavaliers with games at UVa-Wise and Charleston remaining on the schedule.

-         Attacker Mackenzie Kaderabeck has taken the league by storm. The freshman has scored 57 goals and already has a pair of 10-goal games this season.

-       Senior Ally Coggins has dished out a team-high 29 assists this spring, the attacker was limited to two assists and three points in a 19-11 loss to UVa-Wise earlier this spring.
