- UVa-Wise is in the midst of a seven-game winning streak that has seen Meghan Dennehy's squad outscore opponents by a combined score of 131-46 during the stretch. Each win has come against a conference opponent.
- A trio of Cavaliers recorded a hat trick in the team's first meeting against the Rams. Senior McKayla Grasham scored a game-high four goals as UVa-Wise claimed a 15-10 win in Wise last month.
- UVa-Wise leads the league and ranks 11th nationally in shots on goal per game at 26.86. The Cavs also lead the league in assists per game (7.43), scoring margin (4.29), scoring offense (15.21) and shot percentage (.454)

Notes on Shepherd
- Shepherd is on a four-game winning streak and has not lost since playing UVa-Wise last month. Most recently, the Rams claimed a 13-9 triumph over the University of Charleston Thursday.
- Junior Lillian Funke has tallied 80 points this season, the total includes 62 goal for the reigning MEC Offensive Player of the Year.
- Sophomore attacker Sidney Kelly has posted 32 goals and 32 assists for the Rams this spring. Kelly enters Saturday's game having posted 25 points over her last four games.

Shepherd leads the all-time series 5-4 but has lost three consecutive games to UVa-Wise. The Cavs won both meeting last year, including the championship game of the MEC Tournament.
