WISE - - Saturday's women's lacrosse game between UVa-Wise and the University of Charleston has a chance to be a historic one. The Cavaliers have won 13 consecutive Mountain East Conference games, one shy of the all-time MEC record, while several student-athletes have an opportunity to reach career milestones.

- Junior Jesse French and freshman Kam Darrington are the reigning MEC Players of the Week. French took home the offensive award after tallying 16 points during the week while Darrington posted five groundballs and four caused turnovers in a pair of UVa-Wise victories.
- Senior Jessica Apgar needs just four groundballs to become the first player in program history to reach 200. It is just one of many milestones that could occur Saturday. French is four goals shy of 100 for her career while senior McKayla Grasham is seven points shy of 150 and senior Kristin Gobbi is eight groundballs short of 100.
- Saturday's game is the only game for Meghan Dennehy's squad over a five-game stretch. The Cavs haven't lost a home MEC game since April 15, 2017.
- Freshman Caroline Earnshaw leads the team with 31 goals. Overall, UVa-Wise has five players who have scored 20 or more goals.

- Losers of back-to-back games, Charleston is a game out of the final MEC Tournament spot at 1-4 in the league.
- Charleston dropped a 22-8 decision to UVa-Wise in the first meeting between the two schools this season. In the game, Emma Renda recorded a hat trick with three goals. On the season, Renda leads the Golden Eagles with 24 goals.
